Republican Governor Mark Sanford began his Second Inauguration Day at pro-sodomite Trinity Episcopal Cathedral for ecumenical prayer service

'Trinity Episcopal "Church" has an unrepentant, openly homosexual man (Doak Wolfe) on the "Trinity Staff" (www.trinitysc.org) as their "Assistant Organist & Choirmaster." '

Which came first to Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, the spirit of Jezebel, or the spirit of Sodom ? Clearly, both are presently manifest (1 Timothy 2:11-15; Revelation 2:19-25; Genesis chapter 19; Leviticus 18:22; Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:26,27; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

'The processional began with the haunting wail of a lone bagpiper. He led religious leaders and the Sanford family down Trinity’s center aisle, the governor holding the hand of his youngest son.'

'The congregation rose to sing “My Country Tis of Thee” and were called to worship by the Very Rev. Philip C. Linder, Trinity’s dean.'

'A 16-year-old girl from MUSC’s children’s hospital sang “This Little Light of Mine.” The Brookland Baptist Church First Sunday Ensemble performed a chorale selection.'

'The Rev. Carlisle Driggers, executive director of the S.C. Baptist Convention, described Sanford and the state’s other constitutional officers as “good men.” '

'Outside, three members of Columbia Christians for Life held a banner that declared “Sodomy is sin” and raised posters disparaging Trinity as a “pro-sodomite Episcopal Church” and Linder as a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.” '

'As the Episcopal Church wrestles with issues of sexuality, Linder has argued that the church must be a welcoming place for all, including homosexuals. But the leader of Columbia Christians for Life, Steve Lefemine, said the church is endorsing wickedness.'

'As the crowd exited, Sanford and Lt. Gov. Andre Bauer each acknowledged Lefemine. Bauer told Lefemine he didn’t always agree with him, “but I appreciate you all being out here.” '

Republican Governor Mark Sanford (taller man in the middle of front three people) after the Inaugural Prayer Service, walking across Sumter Street to the side of street where the "Sodomy Is Sin" sign is being displayed. Shortly after this picture was taken, Governor Sanford suddenly walked directly over to where Steve Lefemine, Ed Harper, and Ken Letton were standing, and spoke to us briefly. He shook hands, said we should have heard the sermon inside by Mr. Gregg Surratt, and heard Lefemine's admonishment about the choice of venue for the Governor's Inaugural Prayer Service.

Gov. Mark Sanford was urged to “be strong and courageous” as he began his second inauguration day with prayer and reflection.

“You need the courage to be humble, the courage to listen, and, let me give you one more, the courage to act,” the Rev. Gregg Surratt told the governor, a longtime friend.

Surratt, pastor of Seacoast Christian Community Church in Mount Pleasant, delivered the inaugural sermon at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, across the street from the Capitol.
